Mmmm Delicious Dinner
SSar's Beast

(Serves 3)

3 large waxy potatoes, washed
3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tbsp cooking oil (I use grapeseed)
1 cup grated cheese
1/2 large bunch spinach (?? approximate quantities are OK)
1/2 cup button mushrooms, sliced (optional)
1 pinch cracked pepper
1 tsp salt

-Preheat oven to about 180*C or 350*F.
-Cut potatoes into thin slices. Put them in a microwave-safe bowl and blast them in the microwave
for 7 minutes (yes, I know, I cheat).
-Heat oil in frying pan. Crush and chop garlic, and cook on Low heat in the oil. Add the mushrooms, if using.
-Wash and chop spinach; put it in a large oven dish.
-Grate cheese and mix into spinach. Add salt.
-Mix microwave-cooked potatoes into spinach and cheese. Be sure the slices are separated out.
-When mushrooms are nicely golden, or when you feel the oil has absorbed enough garlic flavour, pour oil, garlic pieces, and mushrooms over the oven dish mixture.
-Bake in oven for between 20 and 30 mins. Stir at least once. Feel free to add more cheese.

(Serves 3)

1 chicken breast, or similar weight of chicken meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tsp cooking oil
2 carrots
1 orange
1 onion
1/2 tsp rosemary
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 cup water or white wine

Note for vegetarians: This would probably also taste nice without the chicken. I suppose it would be more of a side dish, though.

-In the frying pan (I use the same one as I cooked the garlic in for the potatoes), brown the chicken pieces; set aside.
-Zest the orange. You want large flakes of zest so use something like a vegetable peeler.
-Chop the carrots into thin slices. Blast in the microwave for 4 minutes on high. (Do you see a pattern here?)
-Chop the onion finely.
-Add the oil to the frying pan; cook the carrots together with the onions, orange zest, rosemary and garlic salt.
-When onions are translucent, return the chicken to the pan. Squeeze the orange and add its juice. Add the water or wine.
-Raise the heat and stir to keep from sticking; reduce the liquid by half. The carrots should become flavourful and slightly floppy. Then it is done..

Ohhh that was so good. I know because I ate the leftovers for breakfast. Nom nom NOM.

This is a recipe I'm trying. I know in the past I've berated you for your weird cooking styles, (Banana what? Banana curry?!) But this recipe looks to be one of the tastiest things I've seen.

I shall not (purposefully or with thought) berate your cooking again.

Awww. You are so sweet and good, Fezz, just like cake.

And my cooking has improved since you lived with me. You know this, because I'm still alive. :)

You are going to have to cook for me once again... Hopefully with the candles beside the plates, and the napkins. And we can have stimulation small talk about the grammatical differences between the languages that we know.

Sounds good?

Yes please.

When are you coming back?
