SSar's Beast
Wheeeeee: dhampyresa and I opened Night on Fic Mountain. This was a rare fandoms exchange started by ZetaTauri, with mesonyx and sirvalkyrie also helping. Unfortunately, ZT had to focus on offline matters soon after assignments went out, and later turned the challenge entirely over to dhampyresa and me.

So in a way, we were "pinch hitting" an entire challenge. :D

I thought I was going to have to write a lot of pinch hits, but actually, every time I got halfway through marathoning a canon, someone appeared to write it instead. That was great. Now I have a lot of half-read books and half-watched TV shows. I enjoyed some of them enough that I shall go back and consume them more slowly.

[Joel's expression when I said, "So, I need to watch 10 hours of Japanese TV by Saturday": priceless.]

I also have a gift from... someone.

We built this city on rock 'n' roll (1022 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Sucker Punch (2011)
Rating: Not Rated
Warnings: Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Characters: Rocket (Sucker Punch)
Additional Tags: Canonical Character Death
Summary: The city at the end of the train line burst into flame the first time Araya touched the Moon.

Heaps and heaps of worldbuilding [YAY] around all of the Sucker Punch dance worlds, including dragons and telepathy!! And a bit of a fix-it, or at least balm, to one of the character deaths.

I still haven't read all of the Jukebox stories - I think I have 10 or so left - and I DO mean to post a recs list for ShipSwap and Rarewomen and Night on Fic Mountain combined. Especially since I never posted about my gifts for Rarewomen, which were both heroic last-minute pinch hits.

Work is a bit weird. I am trying to cobble together websites on WYSIWYG platforms like Weebly and Wordpress (.com, not .org), and also help Marco organise a national translation competition in schools, and my boss just sent me a review for SHARP News with the dubious tagline of "uh, see what you think," so that will be an interesting thing to read when I arrive at work.

I don't talk about work and life much. I really should.
