SSar's Beast
Well, I wore purple yesterday, but it probably didn't do much of anything (and anyway, I like purple, and I like that dress with that shirt). And I just read a couple of things that called me on it. So here's a message with the fancy coding removed.

I don't like it when people use the word "gay" to mean that something is stupid, boring, or otherwise negative, because there are people I love who use that word to affirm a central part of who they are.

I don't like it when people are ostracised because of whom they choose to form a meaningful relationship with. Or a temporary one, or a one-night-stand, or any kind of relationship that does more emotional good than harm for the parties involved.

I don't think religion is a good enough excuse to fear or hate people based on their sexual preference, if God (or Gods) really does love people. And if you believe in a God who doesn't love people, I have larger problems with your beliefs.

I am preaching to the choir here, and probably I just sound really pretentious. I feel pretentious, what with being a female WASPAgnostic with a fiancé, but it's a lot easier for other people to know what I think based on what I say than what I leave unsaid.

Also while I'm on the topic of righteousness, I should probably schedule various checks on cancer on various parts of my body, and possibly you should too, and if you already did and you don't like the news (or this applies to your friend, family member, colleague, pet...) then that really, really sucks.
